About Kalia Yojana

The Kalia Yojana is a state government scheme announced and launched by the state government of Odisha. The scheme is mainly launched by the CM of Odisha state Mr Naveen Patnaik. This scheme is also known as Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation Scheme. Under this scheme, the poor farmers, cultivators, croppers, and landless agriculture labourers will get direct benefits from government officials.

The officials will provide free monetary help to the farmers, cultivators, croppers, and landless agricultural labourers under this very scheme. The main objective of implementing this scheme is to support the farmers and other poor people of the entire state financially to live a better life. This will also lead to a great increase in the growth and development of agricultural production too. Benefits of Kalia Yojana

There are many benefits of this yojana but the main benefits of this scheme are as follows:

• The government will provide Rs. 5000/- to each Rabi & Kharib season covering the 30 lakh small and marginal farmer families.
• The beneficial amount will directly be transferred to the beneficiary’s bank accounts through the DBT method.
• Special assistance will be provided to those farmers who are not able to do farming work due to their old age, disabilities, disease, or other reasons.
• All those landless households who are belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe category will get an amount of Rs. 12,500/- as financial livelihood support.
• The officials will also provide an amount of Rs. 02 lakh health insurance and Rs. 02 lakh accident coverage to the cultivators and landless agricultural labourers as an additional benefit.
